Women's Fashion In Italy Coming To U.S.

women's fashion in ItalyFor those of us fascinated with women's fashion in Italy, but find it sometimes difficult to get our hands on it here in the U.S., a new beacon of hope has arisen. Roberto Botticelli is opening his first store in North America, in the Phoenix area Biltmore Fashion Park.

The store is to open November 1, offering one-of-a-kind handmade and high quality handbags, shoes and other accessories for women and men. Botticelli is known worldwide for creating exotic high-fashion shoes. They often use animal skins not normally found on American shoes, such as python or crocodile.

The shoes are not cheap, as can be expected from Italian fashion designer. They will cost you anywhere from four hundred to five thousand dollars a pair.

One unique addition to the Phoenix store will be a new line of golf fashion not available in any of the other Botticelli boutiques. This is especially appropriate and should be quite successful in the "City of The Sun," where golf and expensive golf accessories are highly sought after.

Dressing Up With Women's Black and White Fashion Accessories

women's black and white fashion accessoriesThe two most classic and complimentary colors that flatter any woman's complexion and figure are black and white. Like a checkerboard, the two colors go so well together, for every occasion. Black and white can be dressed down to meet your everyday needs or dressed up for more formal occasions. Black and white are especially appropriate color choices for the workplace: sophisticated but still a little subdued.

When you are looking for women's black and white fashion accessories, there are a lot of options to choose from, many different places to start.

I think the best place to begin is with every woman's favorite: the shoes. This year, boots with prints are hitting fashion shops everywhere. If you are looking for black and white, you can go for a fun and trendy animal print boot, such as a zebra design or even cow spots. Sounds a little eccentric at first, but with the right outfit, shoes like that make a screaming statement.

Trench coats are also making a huge comeback this fall and winter. Try a black trench with a black and white scarf to boost your warm winter look.

There are so many cute black and white handbags out there, I don't even know where to begin. Once again, if you can find one in that animal print you like, I say go for it. I wouldn't recommend sporting zebra threads from head to toe, but a splash here and there is definitely pretty cute.

Speaking of heads, one of the best ways to dress up your hairstyle in the cold season is to wear a scarf tied around the top and under the bottom of your hair; yes, it resembles a headband, but is softer, classier, and more sophisticated than last year's headband craze.

Overall, black and white are classic, they are definitely the way to go. Getting the right accessories for your black and white outfits will perfect your look.

Women's Extra Wide Fashion Shoes

women's extra wide fashion shoesWe all want to wear the cutest trends in footwear, but as we all have learned, (sometimes the hard way), shoes are about more than just fashion alone. Shoes should provide you and your foot with safety and comfort, too.

For women who have wide feet, finding cute shoes is sometimes challenging and can be quite frustrating, especially when a lot of the mainstream styles are designed for women with high arches and slim feet.

So what's a girl with broad feet to do?

There are, contrary to popular belief, a lot of companies that make women's extra wide fashion shoes, and actually keep them fashionable. Even some name-brand shoe companies have lines that are specific to extra wide feet. Sketchers is one of many that offers shoes that will actually fit you the right way.

Try to steer clear of shoes that are too rounded at the tops. These often are designed with narrow sides, squeezing the foot into the top of the shoe. Ouch! For a more comfortable shoe, aim for flatter tops.

If you are going to look online to find a pair online you want, make sure you have the correct measurements of your feet before you buy. A lot of wide shoe retailers offer their shoes in specific sizes, both length and width. Getting the wrong size once again would be very disappointing.

1920s Women's Fashion Influencing Modern Style

1920s women's fashionThe newest looks for fall this year are actually not new at all: they are recycled and improved designs from the 1920's.

1920s women's fashion took on a more masculine look. Trousers were loose and high-waisted, and hair was cut short and slick. Covering short hair, cloche hats were worn which emphasized the short cut.

The high-waisted, loose legged pants are definitely back in fashion this fall. Not only are they comfortable, but they flatter the feminine shape, covering and supporting what might be a sensitive mid-section area.

Longer skirts and coats were also the fashion for women of the 1920s. These knee and calf length pieces included lower waistbands and oversized belts that hung low on the hips.

We will see these previous trends this fall as trench coats are coming back into style, with large buttons and oversized matching belts. Pencil skirts are still classic for the work place, again taking their roots in previous fashion trends.

What's most exciting is the looser, more elegant look of the 1920s women's fashion that is reappearing in modern fashion trends. Tight and "cute" threads are on the way out this fall, being replaced by classier and more elegant styles.

Trends in Plus-Size Women's Fashion

plus-size women's fashion
It isn't always easy knowing what to wear when you are a woman who actually has some curves. You certainly can't peruse the advertisements in Vogue or Elle magazines, where the only curves the female models show are of clavicle bones piercing through their thin, malnourished skin.

There are, however, lots of alternatives for larger women who are looking to dress in comfort and style.

This fall, try wrap-around sweaters, tops, and dresses. Wrap-arounds allow you to hide any "sensitive spots", and also gives your body some room when you move around.

Speaking of sweaters, try to avoid the bulky, thick-knit sweaters. These always seem at first that they will be flattering on the full-figured frame, but they often have the opposite effect you are looking for.

The experts on plus-size women's fashion will tell you to accessorize big. Big necklaces are in for women of all body styles but look especially flattering on those who are larger in the chest region.

Luckily, large purses and sunglasses have been the craze for the past year or two. These are practically a blessing for the larger women in the world, who just look better with big sunglasses and full-size handbags.

It's important to note that fashion should be and can be fun for everyone: women of all sizes, including yours. Don't be afraid to get out there and try something bold this season!

Women's Fashion Boots for 2007

women's fashion boots
The newest look this year in women's fashion boots is a tall flat boot with little or no heel. That's right, no heel.

Okay, I know what you are thinking. The lack of heel on the boot is going to make me look short and my legs look stumpy. Surprisingly, this is really not the case.

The tall boots worn with a sweater dress and textured tights this fall creates a warm, comfortable, and elongated look. Looking for a place to find all of the above? Try looking around Nordstrom's: if you don't see this look on the girls at the mall, you are sure to find it on the manikins at the high-fashion department stores.

Another option is the classic "bootie". With a long pair of pants, you can hardly tell these boots don't rise the entire way up your calves. So you achieve both comfort and style from one pair of shoes. That is a good deal.

The Uggs boot, much to everyone's surprise, are still in style this year. In fact, they have come out with a bunch of new styles of the traditional Uggs. You don't have to wear last year's set. Unless you want to, of course.

Guidelines for Women's Business Fashion

women's business fasionDressing yourself for work doesn't require abandoning your individual style. Women's business fashion can give you a clean, professional appearance; dressing incorrectly can definitely harm your career.

When you get dressed in the morning, you should be trying to project a polished and professional image, no matter what your rank in the company currently is. This doesn't mean you have to dress expensively; just cleanly.

Your fashion decisions will tell a lot about your capability to do a good job. You should be more concerned about making a long-lasting good impression than looking trendy or sexy.

Some general rules to looking professional and prepared for the office:

1. Color is very important. Combing dark pieces, like pantsuits, with a softer color like lavender creates a professional, yet feminine look. Do not wear anything too bright or flashy.

2. Any jewelry that swings or "jingles" is distracting and should not be worn to the office. Opt for simple jewelry instead.

3. Look for a purse that looks firm, with straight controlled lines. An oversized or wrinkled handbag is often not appropriate for an office setting.

4. Keep up a clean image: pay attention to your hair and nails, your pantyhose, and your shoes. Wrinkled or stained clothing is definitely not acceptable.

5. It is essential your clothes fit you properly. Jackets should be able to be buttoned, no panty line through your pants, etc.

6. Oftentimes, sleeveless tops are considered too sexy; therefore, any kind of tube top, thin-strapped tank top, or anything sheer is improper.

One way of knowing the best way to dress at work is to imitate your boss's fashion sense. If she dresses in a formal manner, you should do the same. If you have any questions, be sure to ask. Many large companies have dress code guidelines pre-established and are available upon request.
